Kristin has always been fascinated by avian biology and behavior. She has gained a
wide range of experiences working as a field technician on ornithological studies
throughout the United States. These experiences include using telemetry to track
Common Ravens in Maine, banding nestling Red-cockaded Woodpeckers in South

Arkansas. Kristin earned a Master’s degree in Biology from Fordham University where
she studied avian distribution and reproductive success among tidal marsh habitats. She
also worked as a Wild Animal Keeper in the Ornithology Department of the Bronx Zoo
for seven years where she enjoyed getting to know individuals of species from around
the world. Since 2018 she has been a volunteer in the Ornithology Department at the
American Museum of Natural History. She has been a volunteer at the Institute for
Natural History Arts since 2023. Her interests include bird watching, bird photography,
